Ancestral Medicine & Healing Workshop

Join Nana Sebastiana and Nana Xochiketzalli in a 3 hour workshop on Ancestral Medicine, Indigenous Mayan Healing, & Curanderismo.

The class will open in prayer, outside in the grass around a fire and will consist mostly of a platica/oral teachings on the wisdom of the ancestors.

The Class will cover the foundation of ancestral healing practices in the Mayan world and go more into depth on subjects such as:

- Plants, Herbs, & Medicine Making

- Prayer, Velaciones, & Candle Magic

- Traditional Medicine Tools

- Limpias, Baños & Barridas

+ Towards the end of the class, the Nana’s will guide everyone in a self healing practice using bundles of herbs and sweeping, known as the barrida rite.
